a london question from a rehabilitated ex troll
hi. i am an ex troll.when i started on the internet i did some trolling on other sites.by day i was a nice sincere indivdual.by night i was a troll. in the end i was busted and had to do the programme.
now i am all sorted out and am preparing for my trip to london this christmas.
my question is about the weather there: i read that it is about 36F right now. did it snow last december in london, is it un/usual to snow during christmas?
thanks,

I don't know what you are reading but I just talked with a friend about 10 minutes ago and it is in the upper 50's in Kent!
Are you sure you've left your trollness aside?
Snow is not that common in London..yes they have it..but really it is not Minnesota..or even PennsylvaniA!

Well, it's definitely freezing or about that here in Maidenhead, about 40 minutes from London. To answer your question, snow is not normal in London at Christmas. Too bad, I love a white Christmas. It will probably be damp and chilly, but not snowy.

i checked out weather.com and the historical weather site.dec 29th 2003 showed both rain and snow for that day.so i guess if it did snow it got washed away.
thanks for all your replies.even the less enthusiastic ones. i know there in some cicles there is a certain stigma attached to being an ex troll and i will have to learn to accept that.
merry xmas

With the anonyminity of the internet, the stigma is only perpetuated by your choice of screen name and declarations that you were once a troll.

I talked to my daughter yesterday. She lives about 60 miles from London. It has been a very mild winter so far. They had a few snow flurries last week, but they have not had a lot of rain and it has been fairly pleasent so far. 40's and 50's mostly. Most of the snow comes in Jan., Feb., and March, but they haven't got much snow the last 3 years she has been there.

One of the regular newspaper space fillers is the bookies' odds on a white Christmas. Bookies never lose. You might get snow in London in mid to late January, if it's a cold winter, but it rarely settles; if it does settle it rarely survives more than a day or so. So far, the weather's seemed very mild - and dry - to me.
