HI crefloors--
yup--i've flown on those hawaiian inter-island hoppers. i agree with you, they are tiny.
my prob is with larger size people that want to take up part of the seat that i paid for. when i complained, the attendant said that maybe i can "switch" with someone. yea-right-like someone else wants to be "infringed" upon.
anybody out there complained loudly enough to get an upgrade?

My wife and I always take two seats together and raise the armrest. That gives us a little more width, not that she needs any.

My experience is that exit row seats are the best, because of more legroom, and are not narrower because the tray is on the back of the seat in front of you, not in the arm; perhaps this is not so on some airlines, but SeatGuru should show that. It is bulkhead seats that, while giving more legroom, are narrower because the tray is in the arm, which also cannot be lifted to give more width.
