9th Arrondissement Paris

Bonjour all. My family and I will be visiting Paris for 2 weeks this summer, and we have booked an apartment in the 9th Arrondissement, near the Place d'Anvers. We are not that familiar with this area of Paris, and would appreciate any thoughts or comments on the neighborhood.

As my forum name implies, I live nearby. It's (in my view) a pleasant residential area, just down hill from the Montmartre hill, but there are few tourists. Decent restaurants along the avenue Trudaine, and plenty of food commerce on the neaby rue des Martyrs. Easy connections to the city centre on bus no 85.
