Marianna, I also work at a school. I had the week off between Christmas & New Year's, plus of course New Year's Day. Of course, longer would always be nicer, but it's long enough! Especially if you go and stay in just one place.

Hi Susan, I was just thinking that I hadn't seen a trip report from your December trip and then I saw this thread (knowing that it was yours due to the limoncello in the title)...will be reading post haste! Welcome back,

SusanP -- thank you so much for this report.. i'm glad you had such a good trip, even with the trials and tribs. My fave part was when you found the Rome bus ticket! a good reminder just when you needed it! O ...a Christmas in Rome is def on my list - it sounds wonderful! thanks again!
