nks, here's a link to a thread that has links for lots of good info. Follow especially Maribels link for Barcelona. She is a poster of cult status here on the board.

I also loved SharonRayMac's trip report on Barcelona and other areas, which is linked in that thread, which has lots of juicy-sounding restaurant references in it.
We had a nice dinner at the Hotel Colon restaurant (a little more expensive than I prefer, though), and we also had a great and inexpensive dinner at LaGarduna in the market off Las Ramblas. Forgive my sloppiness if I've misspelled that. I'm tired from a long day glued to the TV watching the NCAA basketball tournament!
My only caution about LaGarduna is that if you sit outside on the patio, beware of crafty purse snatchers. One lifted my purse containing my digital camera (thank goodness my passport and credit cards were in the moneybelt around my waist).
