8/7-15 Almafi Coast Honeymoon with a group

Hey everyone,

My dear friend and husband-to-be are planning their honeymoon 8/7-15 and want to go go the Almafi coast with their entire wedding party who are family and close friends. I've stayed in Le Sirenuse and Quisisana, but wanted to find a few more options which could be great to consider for groups. Price point under $500 USD/night.

Have you heard of Villa Franca in Positano?Thoughts? Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for your help!
Natalie

Villa Franca is a nice hotel but it is very high up in the village. If you don't mind a long walk down Via Pasitea to get to the shops and beach, then it may suit. There is always the little internal bus that loops around every half hour for quicker transport.

If you're looking in August, you may find your options are very limited as it's the high point of high season.

Villa Franca is too high up in the village for my taste. www.booking.com and www.venere.com are good sites for sorting by price, amenities, location, etc.

Book ASAP as many places book a year in advance.

Take a look at Monastero Santa Rosa....it is small with an amazing spa and beautiful grounds. It is high above Conca dei Marini but they have a free shuttle to Amalfi. They have some great spaces for friends to hang out and also all kinds of nooks and niches to be alone when you want. I can't remember the price....the view is spectacular and the rooms incorporate great technology and are very nice.

We loved Le Sirenuse but MSR might be a good option.

Monastero Santa Rosa is very beautiful but even more isolated than Villa Franco. At 600 euro per night for its basic room it is also out of the OP's price range.

Have you considered a villa? Some fit very large parties although bookings are probably gone for August. Try this site

I can thoroughly recommend the Palazzo Murat, right in the centre. It's a lovely hotel overlooking the small bay (ask for a sea view room). However, you may have left it too late for any of the better hotels in Positano.
