I would recommend La Porta for lunch in Monticchiello over Taverna di Moranda strictly on the basis of their wonderful terrace which has sweeping views of the Val d'Orcia. Their food is wonderful, as is Taverna di Moranda's to be sure, but La Porta's terrace at lunch is devine. Taverna's interior is somewhat like a wine cellar, somewhat dark and windowless.
