5 Days in Corsica
As part of my involved summer trip to Europe I spent 5 days at a friend's vacation home in Corsica eating straight out of the garden, the report and photos are here:

I would like to return to Corsica someday and spend more time there. I just saw the north coast west of Bastia because my focus was on visiting friends--not seeing the sites. You do see a lot of businesses with Napoleon names because he was born there.
Most people go to Corsica to go to the beach. I met no other Americans there. The tourists are mostly French, Italian and German. Perhaps there are Americans elsewhere than the north coast. I do know some cruises stop in Corsica.
