5 Days/4 Nights In Rome

Hello everyone,

I am going to Rome with my girlfriend tomorrow morning. We will be in Rome on January 18 at 1 pm, and we will leave on January 22 at 1 pm. We have approximately 60-80 euros/day for each person. We have rented a house to stay somewhere close to Termini. Do you have any suggestions for our schedule? We have searched for important places in Rome, and all of them are perfect, and we want to see all of them but our time is too short :/

Thanks for the help,
Have a nice day.

I'm sorry, but help with what? Only you can decide your priorities for the time you have.

One piece of advice: Get a map (paper, online, whatever) and plan your days in a logical geographic order so that you're not crisscrossing the city.

Check out the Mercato Centrale, food hall right next to Termini, for some good not too expensive eats.

Hello,

I wanted to ask for the local unknown places or unknown parts of the popular places that are known by the locals.

Thanks for your answer.

My wife and I have been to Rome 8 times now and have yet to complete our journey's. We have used this useful guide of Rome to get us started. https://www.italyguides.it/en/lazio/rome

I would suggest you section off areas you want to explore. St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum would easily take up most of a day depending on your interests. If you only spent the morning there then you can then easily walk from St. Peter's Square to the Castle Sant'Angelo, cross over the bridge of Saints and be at Piazza Navona in short order for a relaxing lunch. The Pantheon is nearby. You can continue out to Via del Corsao and head over to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps as you head home.

The next day you could go the the Forum, the Colesseum, Palantine Hill and Trajan' s Market. If not too tired head up to the Capitoline (and Museums) and the adjacent Victor Emanuel Monument in the Piazza Venezia.

Another day could be dedicated to churches. We had spent one day starting at Basilca St. John Lateran, then the Basilica di San Clemente (with the underground temples) then St. Peters in Chains, Santa Pressede and Marie Maggiore. Finnish off your day with a visit to the Capuchin Crypt beneath the church of Santa Marie della Concezione.

Just some thoughts.

Two museums I can recommend: Palazzo Massimo and the Galleria Borghese, although the latter has an entrance fee that may break your budget.
