47 Park Street
Has anyone stayed here since its conversion into a Marriott Grand Residence club property? I've read the reviews under the rants and raves section but nothing has been added recently. I'm thinking of redeeming Marriott points for a 3 night stay either here or perhaps County Hall or Chancery Court (have read good reviews of both of these). The location of 47 Park Street seems great though and I would be getting a one bedroom suite. It would cost approx. the same amount of points - 75000 for 47 Park Street vs. 78000 for County Hall or Chancery Court. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.

uncle_sam,
Yes, this is for London. There's also the option of redeeming just a guest room at 47 Park Street for 50,000 points for a 3 night stay. This would make it 15,000 points less than Marble Arch even at the point saver award level. The only drawback is you can only book a 3, 5, or 7 night award at 47 Park Street.

Just tried getting award reservations for my dates and there's no award space available at 47 Park Street so I guess I'll reserve County Hall. The reservation agent also said she could not book a guest room only, just one or two bedroom residences. However, the rewards department definitely said that guest rooms were available for 50,000 points. But since there was no award space, I didn't press the issue. In any case, from all of the reviews, I should be pretty happy with County Hall.

Not recently . . but I have stayed there many times (on expense account) and it is clearly my favourite hotel in London . . disapointed to hear it changed hands, but if the kept the management and attitude, you can't go wrong.
