I intend to visit Oberstdorf at the end of December when there is a ski jump competition,

I intend to visit Oberstdorf at the end of December when there is a ski jump competition. Any advice on accomodation and how to get there. I also intend to stay in Munich for a couple of days. Any idea whether any shops will be opened on 25 December?

None of the shops will be open on the 25th or the 26th. Christmas is a 2 day celebration in Germany.

Any German experts to give some advices on what one could do if I am in Oberstdorf and Munich between 25 Dec. 04 to 4 Jan 05.

Will Neuschwanstein be opened during winter?
