Pal, I'm aware of that, but the difficulty is finding dishes in those places that are not made with dairy products in the case of Vegans or without eggs for Hindus. The other problem is non specialist restaurants is whether they use beef or chicken stock in what are otherwise non meat dishes.

It's not always easy to get a good answer on ingredients from waiting staff who may not know what is in dishes.

OK I did not consider that - did not read your response carefully enough - definitely do not trust any non-Indian restaurant it seems, rather limiting the selection. Maybe the eat in your room from supermarket routine?

Being vegan in cheese infatuated France - gotta be tough!

Hi,

What kind of shoes should i pack for my trip? Would i need a separate pair of shoes for walking and classes and another while traveling? I a planning to take my woodland shoes. Will they work for walking to college? Incase of snow will they work

Pack shoes that will keep your feet warm and dry.

I don't know what woodland shoes are.

For snow you will need boots - not shoes - that are lined for warmth - since much heat is lost through the feet - as well as the head (so you will need a warm coat, hat, scarf, gloves and warm sweaters and pants (cord probably better than wool).

Definitely make sure your boots are water proof. Nothing ruins a day faster than wet feet. You should find a pair that will work for both walking about and going to classes.
