4 Extra Days after Prague-Go Where

I have a conference in Prague mid October, then 4 extra days. I can't decide if I should go to Germany (and stay in Castles) or travel throughout the Czech Republic. Any suggestions?

If you have never visited Vienna, I think you would find it very interesting. If you like music, you can find lots of it there.

Stick with the Czech Rep. You may not a chance again in a hurry to see this beautiful country.Visit Karlovy Vary and Cesky Krumlov. Ideal for an extra four days.BTW, Prague itself will take up a few days to enjoy fully.See operas, eat inexpensive good food and shop for quality and real cheap crystal and porcelain tho' do the shopping in K. Vary and C. Krumlov since they are cheaper than Prague.

I agree with Anna, Cesky Krumlov is a must. Prague is a beautaful unique city. The buildings and archature are great (except the Fred and Ginger building). The origional beer came from a town by the name of Pills (hence Pilsner) in the 12th century and also another earyl one 'Budwise' (nothing like budweiser except the name. They are almost as good as German beer. There is also a small chaple just NW of Prague where thousands of human bones make up the interior of the chaple. These bones came to the serface due to years (Centuries ) of weather and were reminates of the plague that swept through Europe.
