Check hotel Ramey rue Ramey in the 18th.
Cheapest hotel I have been in for very low prices in which I returned several times.
I had a friend robbed in hotel terminus and another one an attempt to robbery. I have stopped going there.
Stu : for a next time check hotel mademoiselle 200 meters from there and charming and quiet.

OK - we're returning to the Gare de Lyon for a 1 nighter this June. A French friend who lives in Paris recommended the Mercure - obviously a chain.

Mercure is yes a chain but modern and no surprises -they are all the same somewhat.
IBIS and or Novotel are located opposite Gare de Lyon- good value and again modern amenities. www.accorhotels.com.
But trains from Basel, Bern and Zurich Switzerland serve Gare de L'Est -ones from Lausanne and Geneva Gare de Lyon.
So from Murren you probably want to be in the Gare du Nord or Est area (the two stations practically abut each other)-Accor Hotels and Mercure there too.

The trains to Interlaken Ost with only 1 train change seem to start at the Gare de Lyon

No it always reverts back to Query Page
But you are right - French TGVs seem to leave all from Gare de Lyon to Basel
and German ICS seem to leave Gare de l'Est to Basel
All told to Interlaken TGVs are 30 mins faster than ICEs (including change to regular Swiss trains en route)
So Stu is right- but equal number of trains seem to serve both Lyon and Est stations-since ones from Lyon are quicker that's the way to go (well prices can make a different.
And IME the Gare du Lyon area is nicer than the Gare de l'Est area to stay in.

Yeah, there is bit change in itinerary.
I am reaching paris on 13th Night from Amsterdam by Thalays.
14th,15th and 16th night visit in Paris (various museums, city tour etc.. )
17th Morning, travel to disneyland and stay in one of the disney partner hotel, booked 2-3 hotels (vienna dream castle/Vienna magic circus)..
Planning to buy a disney pass for 2 days for 17th and 18th.
19th Morning, traveling to Basel by TGV from Gare-de-lyon (i guess, already booked it)
so now i have a bit more time in Paris.
So 2 days pass at disney website is costing more but if i am buying the same at other website like http://www.attractiontix.co.uk/ or
https://www.365tickets.com/disneylan...-hopper-ticket..
it is cheaper so is it safe to buy tickets from these website instead of disney website?

Hello Christina,
>>
It's on other websites like Wimdu and is only 93 euro on there <<
I checked the same, eventually after adding some taxes and all, it is having the same price mentioned at booking.com.
I was looking for an apartment so that i can cook some small thing for my self and for my little one as she might not like the food available there ..

I am planning to buy a paris passlib for 3 days which will cost 129 euro on booking.parisinfo.com.
Does the price of this pass varies i.e. should i buy it now only to avoid paying high price or i can buy it few days before my arrival in Paris..

You may want to make a separate post about the Paris Pass as it is lost here - many such previous posts and nearly everyone says is over priced for what it offers. You can buy it in France too I believe.

StCirq knows of which she speaks.
The transport coverage is way overkill for the relatively few metro rides you may take -buy carnets at stations - 10 tickets for price of about 6 - 4 yr old goes free or demi-tariff - 1/2 price.
Museum Passes buy at any museum- good if going to 3-4 major ones in say two days.
So without going into a lot of detail -take StCirq's word that it is way overpriced-meant to be sold to clueless tourists by travel agents.
