My soon to be husband and I will be going to Italy in October for our honeymoon. Our last stop on the trip will be in Rome where we will spend 3 days.

Could someone please recommend some restaurants to us that we shouldn't miss?

I'd suggest you add where you will be staying - at least what part of the city - and a price point. There are 100's of choices, I'm sure there will be some not too far from your hotel that you can take a leirsurely stroll to. No need to take a taxi, just enjoy your neighborhood!

I agree with suec1 that, since Rome is a huge city with thousands of restaurants, it makes sense to know in which area you plan to stay.
I would, however, like to share with you the name of a small restaurant where we had a very nice dinner last year September. It is only three blocks away from the Trevi fountains in a little alley. It is not a grand restaurant though. The menu is simple but very tasteful and the atmosphere is great. We enjoyed it very much. To my surprise I noticed that they now have a website in English for whatever that is worth: www.piccoloarancio.it

We are staying near the city center in Rome. Preferably we would like to spend no more than 60 euros per person.

I will second the recommendation to use Elizabeth Minchilli's EatRome App and Katie Parla's Rome for Foodies App. I have used both extensively on several trips to Rome in the past 2 years and have not been disappointed.

Although you mention you will be in the city center, if you know the specific neighborhood that would be helpful for recommendations. For instance will you be closer to Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navonna, The Spanish Steps, or Termini (train station). Although the neighborhoods are relatively close, you may prefer to select restaurants that will be closest to your accommodations for ease of walking to/from rather than using public transit or taxis.

That is pretty nebulous. It is a vast city - do you know the name of the neighborhood where you are staying?

Hi, regardless were you stay, you will surely spend some time in the center of Rome, so here are some of my pics, starting from piazza del Popolo:

- Via di Ripetta, from piazza del popolo, on the right, many nice restaurants and pizzerie (Pizza Re is has very good pizza, Naples' style - ie thicker than the roman one). Restaurant Ad Hoc is also a good choice (http://www.ristoranteadhoc.com/)

- Walking down via Ripetta, you'll get to p.zza augusto imperatore. There the restaurant "Gusto" is popular with Romans (on the square you'll find the Pizzeria, the restaurant entrance is on the opposite side)

- Crossing p.zza Augusto imperatore, you will find Via della Scrofa. Here the restaurant Alfredo (http://www.alfredoallascrofa.com/it/) claims to be the one who has invented Fettuccine Alfredo (but many other restaurants claim the same...). Btw, an Italian would never order "fettuccine Alfredo"...

- Not too far from Via della Scrofa, 20 meters from Piazza Santa Maria in Lucina, restaurant Matricianella (http://www.matricianella.it/) offers excellent traditional Roman dishes. It also features an impressively large wine list. It's one of my favorites. Reservation is a must.

- In small street close to Via della Scrofa, restaurant "Il bacaro" (http://www.ilbacaroroma.com/) proposes innovative Italian cuisine, in a very romantic setting. Few tables, better to reserve

- In the lovely piazza Sant'ignazio, restaurant Le cave di S. Ignazio offers roman and Italian dishes (average): more than for the food, you should go there to eat outside in the fantastic setting of the baroque square

- a little ahead, Piazza di Pietra, in front of the impressive remains of Jupiter's temple, Osteria dell'Ingegno (tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g187791-d1…) offers innovative Italia Cuisine. Popular with locals

- My latest discovery: restaurant Ditirambo (http://www.ristoranteditiramboroma.it/), close to Piazza Campo de Fiori. I'm eating there the day after tomorrow...

Ditriambo has been discussed here for years.
Some longtime posters do not like it.

It's not a restaurant, however....I love to get a hot, oily piece of fresh focaccia wrapped in paper at the Forno Campo de Fiori, so delicious and fun on a brisk fall night The line can sometimes be long but it moves quickly and worth the wait!

Last week. we discovered Da Francesco,just west off Piazza Navonna, as I wanted to watch while my pizza baked in a real wood fired oven.

We just returned from Venice, Umbria and Rome. We didn't use any recommendations. We wandered around and made sure restaurants were almost full. We read the menu and looked at customers' plates and made our choices.

While some meals were better than others, most were at least good and none were bad. We were in Italy, after all.

We were in Trastevere one evening walking around and picked a place based on the above. Very good choice.

Cul de Sac off of Piazza Navona. The food was so amazing, I ate here 3 times. No reservation needed, they have a number system. Also (which was important to me, being solo) they will serve half portions of many dishes.

I agree that Forno was amazing - I grabbed some delicious pizza here.

La Taverna dei Fori Imperiali very close to the colosseum - I had the cacio e pepe and it was delicious!
