3 Days in northern Italy
Hello!!
Me and my wife are honeymooning in Italy between 30th of july to 15th of August. We have 3 days in the end of the trip (9-12 aug) that we have no idea where we want to go.
the itinerary so far:
florence
chianti
versilia
portofin
XXXXX <------- this is where we have no idea.
lago di como
So, we would just have been at cinque terre and having the possibility to visit beaches etc etc. Therefore we would like a nice place in-country not too far from lago di como and not tooo much of a sidetrip from the birds way from portofino to como.
Any suggestions?
We prefer:
nice buildings
not tooo crowded
excellent food/wine from local restaurants (nothing TOO fancy though).

Hi oskaar,
IMO you really have enough for a fortnight already. I don't know if you've been to any of these places before but you do seem to be spreading yourselves pretty thin.
I would think of extending the time you have in each place to fill those 3 days.
I would also suggest that the places you are visiting [apart from Versilia] ARE going to be pretty crowded at that time of year. The places that Bilbo has mentioned are less popular with visitors and so might be less so.
