3 days 2nights in Sicily

Hi all,

We are a four flying into Catania in February. I would love tips of where to stay, Taormina or Catania. A lot of hotels seem to be closed in Taormina on our dates but we've heard it is quite beautiful. Happy to hear your thoughts.

Sorry, big thumb!

Stay in Taormina---we like the Villa Schuler.
Skip Catania in your short time.

Here are some reasons: http://www.slowphotos.com/photo/show...y.php?cat=3828

I'm with Bob on this - stay in Taormina, even if it is Winter. Still lots to see and do (or not do if you just want to sit and stare at the sea with a glass of something in your hand) and still stunning.

Given a choice between Taormina and Catania, I'd go for Taormina.
