3 Day German Rail Pass

I'm flying into Frankfurt next week and would like to catch a train to Nurnberg from the airport. I would like to purchase the German Rail Pass for 3 Days which is currently giving 2 extra days for free. Can I buy this at the train station at the airport? Thanks.

To my knowledge you have to purchase the German Rail Pass (the one for Americans) online before arriving in Europe. I could be wrong though. That is a good deal and they should offer quick shipping so you could get it intime.

You can purchase a German Rail Pass at the airport in Frankfurt. I have done it several times.

haxter1 is correct. I have bought a German Rail Pass on several occasions at the DB Reisecentrum at Frankfurt airport immediately after arriving from Australia. The folks all seem to speak English.

try checking individual fares on http://www.bahn.de before deciding on the pass. sometimes they have good sales; up to 50% off. pass is 175 euros for 3 days with 2 free (5 days Special) http://www.bahn.de/i/view/USA/en/pri...railpass.shtml can be bought online from German Rail

I just did realized that you are going next week so there is no time to buy the pass online as they they mail it to you. Otherwise the lowest fare from Frankfurt airport to Nuremberg is 34 euros; non stop train; 2.5 hrs o/w. You can buy individual ticket on line anytime; just print after purchase.
