20th Anniversary in Prague

Hello,
We are planning our 20th Wedding anniversary and we have decided to stay a few days in Prague this August.
I have been there once for a day on business, but would love to have some input from you all on a wonderful grand place to stay, (four poster beds if possible) and some great places to see for a couple.
I know about the normal tourist stuff, the bridge, castle, cut glass shops and wenceslas sq etc. Anything else?
Input is appreciated.

Hi mucky,

We stayed at the Pensione Dientzenhofer

http://www.dientzenhofer.cz/

It is not grand, but it is very pleasant in a good location.

You can have breakfast at the base of the garden, next to the canal, overlooking the park.

I think that that would be perfect for an anniversary.

Thanks Ira I will check it out.
Can you suggest places to go and see other than the obvious?
Did you find anywhere especially interesting; off the tourist trail.
I hate tourist trails.
Especially when I am a tourist ....lol

Hi. We were in Prague in December, also for our 20th Wedding Anniversary!

We booked our hotel through www.travelcook.com who were most helpful in their suggestions for romantic hotels.

We stayed at Hotel Metamorphis in a small square (Ungelt),just behind the main old town square. It has a beautiful cellar restauant.
It's not a grand hotel, but we were very happy with it. We stayed in apartment 21 with great views of the Ungelt and the Tyn church (especially at night when it is all lit up).

You might like hotel U Prince, great position, nice bars and the bedrooms look beautiful.

The Four Seasons is amazing. You can get a room overlooking the Charles Bridge and see the lights of the castle. All of the rooms have deep soaking tubs and separate glass showers for two. Beds are large and cozy. The dining room and bar are expensive, but worth it. Service, of course, is impeccable. The cost is a lot for Prague, but not for other European cities. Enjoy!
