I'm a solo traveller and at the moment planning to go Europe for two-three weeks next year.

Please advise which month to go and which cities to cover and which places are a must-go in each cities?

I have been to Italy - Rome, Florence, Venice and Cinque Terre for three weeks in Aug 2017.

You can't cover Europe in 2-3 weeks, so you need to decide which country to visit for this trip and ask for suggestions for places to go and things to see. Depending on where you can fly into from your location consider booking multi city or open jaw flights so that you can fly into one place and back home out of another. This saves time and money on transport.

Maybe Germany or France over 2-3 weeks.

It is more expensive for multi city and open jaw flights from Singapore so most likely will fly into and out the same country.

My preferred months would either be in spring-early summer or early fall. So for me April, May June or Sept. I would lean towards France simply because with as far as you are travelling it would be nice to see one of the world's most iconic cities. With 2-3 weeks you could probably see Paris and then 1 other region like a bit of Provence or the Normandy area, etc. Or if you wanted to get a bit of the Germanic feel you could pair Paris with Alsace.

I'd do a leisurely roadtrip through France in September, including Normandy, Brittany, the Loire.

It really is impossible to say, I would suggest you decide based on your personal interests. Isn't there any city or country that you've read about or seen in films or TV that you thought would be interesting to go to? If not, why even go at all.

Because Europe is too big that it would make sense to even try to come up with a plan for you without narrowing it down some. You could do just Spain, for example, in 2 weeks if it interested you. It doesn't combine that easily with other places except perhaps southern France. Or, could do central europe (Austria plus Germany and/or CR for example). Or Switzerland plus NE France or something.

Welcome to Fodors, mannequin-yeo. As others have noted, Europe is full of options and we can't make any recommendations without knowing much more. My recommendation would be to go to a library or bookstore and pull out some guidebooks to see what interests you and meets your needs. Good luck!

Usually multi city isn't usually much more expensive than a normal return ticket, if at all. However if it is where you are, you also need to factor in the costs of transport around the country(ies) you choose including the cost of return to your point of entry. You might find that it doesn't end up any more expensive after all.

France in Spring would be nice, I think. Fly into Paris, spend a few nights to get over jet lag. If you tell us your interests we can make some recommendations for things to do.
From Paris would you prefer to go north to Normandy, or South to Provence?

I think May or June in France would be nice. I would recommend getting lodging with A/C even though it is still spring. I was there end of May 3 years running and it was hot! I also like A/C for the noise as well the cool. I realize it might be really cool compared to SIN but even so I would still get it.

IMO, there isn't such a thing as a "must-see place" except through reference to one's unique personal interests.

"I do like to visit castles". If that is the case you might want to spend some time in the Loire Valley where you could see a range of different castles. You could either take a tour, or if you feel okay about driving then you could take a train to Tours or Amboise and pick up a car and spend a few days driving through the area. Many of the castles have a focus on their gardens so spring could be a beautiful time there.

Or another beautiful area in France with lovely castles is the Dordogne. It is an area with lots to see in general and spring is a great time to visit there as well. In that area you will also need a car to get the most out of a visit or you could look into tours for that area as well-although I think there won't be as many as to the Loire.

castles can vary from pretty pretty to fortifications. The Chinon castle (built by the English) is a nice example of fortified.

Look also at Mosel or Alsace both areas of which were fought over a lot so have loads of castles. Maybe even Luxembourg which as part of its birth as a nation was partially destroyed as the castle was so big, but what is left is still big.

Loire castles are of the fairy-tale hunting-lodge type for the most part. Here in the Dordogne they are almost all fortified castles - two entirely different things.
