2 weeks Italy 3 people suggestons

A friend and her parents(60's) are going to Italy for 2 weeks in May. They will land in Rome and leave out of Venice. They also want to go to Florence. She wants to spend about 200 a night for hotels for all of them. Are triple rooms available? Any suggestions?

Use the search function above by entering " Rome Hotels" and you will find 100s of good answers.

Thanks bobthenavigator the problem is with 3 people as opposed to 2 do you options change? ie is an apt better than a room.

Virtually all of the hotels have trips and many quads. If I wanted to spend 200E for a triple I would consider:
Rome--Santa Chiara or Due Torri
Florence--Morandi alla Crocetta
Venice--Pensione Accademia or Locanda Barbarigo

Hi, I travelled with 2 friends in Italy in June 2001 and had no trouble getiing triple rooms.
As your friends are only going for 2 weeks, why not rent an apartment for 1 week,as a base.
$1400US a week would get you a fairly nice apartment/villa with more room for the 3 of them (usually Saturday to Saturday). It does get a bit "boring" sharing sleeping quarters for a holiday.
I'm travelling to Italy for 2 weeks this July and spending 1 week on the CT (Manarola) in an apartment and then 1 week in an apartment in a villa in Perugia.
I'm not driving this time and both these places are easy for train use and easy day trips, as this is primarily a restful holiday not a "pack in everything hol..."
