I'm trying to use FF and looks like I can fly into Paris and out of Zurich or in and out of Paris. I've been to Paris two times, Provence and South of France but never to Lyon, Dordogne or Bordeaux. Do you think I should just spend two weeks in France or try to travel to Lucerne and surrounding area for one week?
I'm very confused. Please give me some help. THANKS!!

Well, Lyon and Bordeaux are cities. The Dordogne is a whole region, and it could easily fascinate you for two whole weeks.
Lyon has more natie appeal than Bordeaux, but I don't think I'd spend a full week there. Bordeaux might hold your interest for a couple of days, but frankly, though I love Bordeaux, I wouldn't recommend it until you've got a lot more travel in France under your belt.
I'm not a big fan of Switzerland, so I'm not going to recommend that, but I think you'd be very happy spending a week in the Dordogne and a week in Burgundy, or two weeks in the Dordogne.

We did this a couple of years ago. Flew into Bordeaux and spent a week in the Dordogne (Castelnaud-la-Chapelle as base), then flew into Bern and Spent a week in the Bernese Oberland (Wengen as base) before flying out of Zurich. Two different regions but both with lovely sceneries. Worked very well for us and have many times done a 2-country vacation vs. 1-country.
