I will be in Italy for 2 days only.I will reach Milan and plan to goto Venice from there thus I will have one day in Venice and half a day in MIlan.Please can you suggest what places to see in MIlan and Venice.

We took the bus from Milan hotel to Venice; about 2 hours. Very pleasant ride. You must see Piazza San Marco and the Bridge of Sighs (Ponte dei Sospiri). It passes over the Rio di Palazzo and connects the old prisons to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace. The bridge was built in the 16th century and only given the name Bridge of Sighs in the 19th century, by Lord Byron. The bridge is of white limestone. Windows with stone bars are on the summit of this enclosed bridge. The name comes from the suggestion that prisoners would sigh at their final view of beautiful Venice out the window before being taken down to their cells...
In Milan, you must see Il Duomo. Take the subway to Duomo Exit and as you walk up the subway stairs, you will gasp in amazement at the sight before you...

I will arriving in Milan at 1pm which will be a Wednesday ,I will the next whole day ie Thrusday and then Friday I have my flight back at 11am
