2 B&B options in Venice, where would you stay?

Hi all!

Well, after much research, I have it down between 2 B&Bs for our 2 nights in Venice. Just for some background about us. . .We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids ages 4 & 8, all healthy and good walkers. We are hoping to be central enough to pop back to the room for a mid-day rest, if needed, but we don't need to be right in the hustle and bustle.

One option is:
http://www.casagottardi.it/eng/index_ing.html
A quad room is available for 140 Euros/night

Another option is:
http://www.corte1321.com/en/index.html
A quad room is available for 175 Euros on Friday and 185 Euros on Saturday

Both choices are within our budget. I have checked out the reviews on Slow Travel, Fodor's feeds as well as Trip Advisor. They both look like great options and I feel happy to be choosing between 2 great places (not the lesser of 2 evils).

What I am looking for is some personal insight as to which might be the best choice for our first trip to Venice.

Many thanks in advance!

The situation in town is quite similar, you're very centrally located. One place seems to be more traditionally furnished, the other one more modern. Is this really important for a 2 day-stay?
Does one B&B offers something 'more'? A roof terrace with a beautiful view? A inner court garden? And will you greatly benefit from this while your in Venice for only 2 nights?
What about the price advantage? Why pay 60€ more for a place where you will only sleep and have breakfast, if basically both places offer a fair standard of service? Is a difference between 'good' and 'slightly better' worth 60€?
If Tripadvisor says both places are fine, I would save the 60€.

Thanks baldrick!

The more expensive one does have a courtyard for breakfast if the weather is nice. I like their furnishings more, but 60 Euros more??

Thanks for your input.

I was at CASA GOTTARDI last week and, as I go often to Venice because of my job, for now it is in Venice the best place that I have ever stayed for quality / price.
Of course, do not miss a dinner at VECIO FRITOLIN !

Have a lovely trip.

Many thanks Vincenzo!

I was leaning in that direction, but just wanted that little bit of insight to push me over the edge.

And many thanks for the restaurant tip too! We'll be sure to eat there during our stay!

Hooray! Another detail off the list. . .
