19 Sleeps to go-Not that I'm Counting or anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to leave on 16th May for 5 weeks in Milan, Venice, Rome and Tuscany. I am armed and very likely dangerous with all my info. from Fodors, have my wheelie suitcase, which WILL be packed LIGHT I promise, (fingers crossed behind back when you guys are not looking)!! Am catching up with relatives not seen for 20 odd years and meeting a couple of people from this board. Going sans kids, Yeah!! NOT looking forward to the flight all the way from down under but it has to be done. I am now addicted to Fodors and will be travelling with all you guys vicariously for the next few years while I pay off the loan I am taking for this trip.
Italy, here I come!!
Ciao

Hi NZ Girl, try to be rested when you leave for Italy as you do have a long flight. Sounds like you are good and organized though. Have fun these coming weeks thinking about your trip.

Hey NZ

I'm post 40 sleeps having gotten back to the US from Italy last month. I left the country just as I found it albeit with a little less food and vino.

KYbourbon, stressed? I know about "stressed" darling! It's "desserts" spelled backwards.

Go out, indulge, and come back fully relieved of stress! Then continue your preparations.

Repeat as often as needed.

Sixteen days for me until we leave for the U.K., but first I have to get through our university's commencement, which my office oversees. We've a total student population of 14,000, and it's a huge amount of work, but once May 7th is past I can really get excited!!!!

Have a great trip, NZGirl!

NZGirl, it sounds as if you are well-prepared and so excited about going! This place is great for all the help, tips, suggestions, opinions, etc. - isn't it?

To you and all the others who have posted here and are traveling in the next few weeks - enjoy your trips and tell us all about them when you return! Our trip isn't until July but I am getting excited about visiting a new place for us.

Enjoy all your travels, everyone!

Faina - I had a birthday yesterday so at work I had dessert of angel food cake with fruits and cream. Last night I forced myself to attend a wine tasting - Ken Wright Cellars Oregon - pinot, merlot, and cab. Then a big dinner at Giuseppes with more wine and tiramisu for dessert.

Does that spell desserts?or stressed?

YEAHHHHH! Me too...only 18 sleeps to three weeks in Spain!!!!
Naturally, this means that there are only 12 working days to accomplish my before-I-go task list. The stress is mounting. I always go on a diet before vacation so that is not helping with the stress.
