180 day visa extension - Spain

My daughter is currently in Spain on a 180 day student visa. Her time ends Feb. 28. If she leaves Spain to either a Schengen country or Morocco and enters back into Spain as a "tourist" not a visa holder does she get 90 days as a tourist? We are planning on a trip to meet her at the end of her studies. So she looking to get extra time in the Schengen countries. Thank you in advance for any help.

You should really be asking at a Spanish embassy or consulate, but read the answer to question #16 in this link:

Yes, it's best to leave Spain for a non-Schengen country at the end of her studies such as UK and then re-enter, so that she will get a Schengen entry stamp, allowing her to start a new 90-in-180 day stay.
