MAP, one thing you might consider is what you are used to driving. I always drive an automatic, but I have no problem driving a stick. One European trip I rented a manual to save money, with the only problem being that I drove about 3,000k on that trip. While I had no problem with the driving, I'm telling you my left leg was killing me by the end of the trip - it was the shin muscles! They just weren't used to working the clutch, and it really made it hard to walk after a while.

<i>"If you get a manual car, just make sure you can do hills without rolling over the person in back of you after you've stopped and have to go forward again."</i>

And that can be a problem. I have driven stick all my life and have had no problems with hills, but this year I was upgraded to a stick VW Passat whose "hand-brake" is a button that can be released only when one's foot is on the brake. One foot on the brake and one foot on the clutch, and I need a third one to give a little gas. The car does have a hold button for this type of situation, but it takes getting used to.

Vientianeboy, I think 99.9% of readers got my drift. I did read your post correctly.
