12 Hours in Paris at night...
We are staying at Todi Castle in Umbria for most of our vacation in May, 2008; but we are flying out of Paris back to Houston and have a 12 hour layover (9:00 pm to 9:00 am). Is there a way to see the sights at night? Personal tour? Thanks for all help.

Tricky. By the time you get your baggage and make it to central Paris, it would be...11PM? There are restaurants that are 24 hrs a day, walks in central Paris (agong Seine, Champs Elysee,etc... are 24 hrs..but you will need to be back to the airport at....6:30/7AM...so not sure if is a good idea. 4hrs sleep?

In that case, are your bags checked through?
You could do a long, leisurely walk all over central Paris, bridges, etc. My only experience was walk from Montmartre to Altin Quarter at ~1-2AM, and the streets were still busy.
This is the resto I was thinking of...

I often stay up all night the last night in Paris and then sleep on the flight back to the States - good planning .
Lots of areas in Paris that stay up late - but I was thinking of the Latin Quarter. Loads of people up late and the streets are busy.

Plan on about 90-ish Euro for a taxi to go in and come back...
See if the driver can pull over and let you out to see and photo the Eiffel (best from Trocadero), then be dropped off at place St Michel (Latin Qtr). From there, you can see the outside of Notre Dame cathedral, and wander a bit around the cafes and clubs in the Latin Qtr. (around rue de la Huchette, rue St Severin..)
