UNCBB113 Thanks for the kind words!
You know, I'm not positive what my budget was when everything was said and done. I had some bank account mishaps that made me lose track of what I was spending. You can figure about 50-100 dollars per day depending on how you travel (hotels/hostels/couchsurfing), so it really changes a lot. Also eastern Europe is a fraction of the price of London for instance.
I just host my website with Yahoo webhosting and then use their standard phpbb messageboard. It took me forever to set up but is SO worth it now. Brandon just traveled to Costa Rica and Japan and has posted some updates and pictures from those trips. So really having the messageboard has paid off SO much and I'm currrently planning an Asia 101 trip and I'll just do everything the same for that trip... only this time it should be easier posting updates now that I've already done it once.

Haha thanks for the kind words!
He JUST got back from Germany a year ago and I'm emploring him to do a final update on the messageboards telling us about how his German improved and any other fun stories about his time in the German education system. He says he has some crazy stories so I'll keep pressuring him to do an update =)

All of you who followed our 101 day trip to Europe might be interested to know that Kristin and I just went to Cambodia for 2 weeks.
And thanks Fodorites! You guys REALLY helped me plan this trip! I don't know what I'd do without you!
We spent an overnight stay with a couchsurfer in Singapore, helped at an orphanage in Phnom Penh, and spent a few days at Siem Reap.
This was a GREAT first taste for South East Asia for me and I can't wait to go back!
I just got done filtering through my 4500 pictures from the trip and have finally got the best ones posted online here:

If you've been to these countries or are going to these countries, hopefully you find them beneficial =)
I did post this in the Asia section but I'm sure that not everyone who goes to the Asia section comes here too... I never used to, but now I can't get enough of Asia hehe. So I thought I'd give this thread an update as well

Glad I caught this thread! Great pics!
I can relate to a lot of it as we have just spent 395 days in Europe ( plus Turkey & Morocco) , but we go at a MUCH slower pace. We have have not completed what we came to see yet.
We travel with a young child so we like to go slow & we spent a month in Dubrovnic, Barcelona and Santorini. If we like a place we just stay until it feels right to leave.
DO go on that blue voyage some day....we loved ours. Turkey is a great country that most people miss.
We will eventually get to Asia, so glad to see your take on that. Love to see passionate travelers!
Keep traveling. Carpe diem!!

WOW WTnow... that is soo awesome! I would love to live like that some day. Your child will grow up with an understanding of culture and how the world works that she could never get otherwise.
And I agree... Turkey is amazing! Everyone who dreams of Italy, Greece and Croatia can fulfill or exceed many of those dreams in Turkey. There's a reason why Rick Steves is always preaching the wonders of Turkey.
Wow, full time travel... now that's a good dream

Hey Fodorites! I know it's been forever since I posted on this thread but I still get people writing me telling me they found my photos from this thread so I thought I would give a brief update.
My new (1 year anniversary as of 2 days ago) wife and I are traveling New Zealand at the moment and are posting photos and trip updates if anyone is interested.
Actually it looks like it's been about 3 trips since I posted on this thread. I've been to Asia a couple times and to Eastern Europe with my cousin for a couple months.
