Discovering that the "Garden of Earthly Delights" at the Prado has a painting on the reverse side and the whole thing closes up!

Oooh, and, again the Prado, getting my kid to look at the paintings by having him look for dogs in the paintings -- then discovering in the museum shop they had a great t-shirt entitled something like Los Peros del Prado (yeah, we bought him one).

Finally (still on the Prado!), check out the painting by Diego Velazquez de Silva entitled "San Antonio Abad Y San Pablo", which could be retitled as "Praying for a Big Mac".

The Parque de Retiro in Madrid is pretty stunning too on a warm day.

Aside from all the Gaudi in Barcelona, which is great, we loved the Picasso Museum.
