10 Day Itinerary in Spain & Portugal
Hi all!
This is the first time I've been to Europe, so I'm not sure how much time to spend in each place. We are planning to go May 17- 27. We're flying in on the night of the 17th and leaving the morning of the 27th. So far, our itinerary looks like this (with flights in between)
May 18-19 Madrid
May 20-22 Barcelona
May 23-25 Lisbon
May 26-27 Madird
What do you think? Should we just stick with Spain?.

I would just stick with Madrid/Barcelona if you cannot get an open jaw flight. If you can get an open jaw, you could fly into Madrid or Barcelona and out of Lisbon (or vice versa).
Keep it to 2 cities, your plan has a lot of backtracking and you are only getting 2 days in each place and spending half the trip on travel days.

Stick with Spain this trip. You could arrive in Madrid, go to Seville by train. Then Granada by train and end your trip to Madrid by train. Great day trips from Madrid and Seville. Richard A little information to download. www.maribelsguides.com P.S. Save Portugal for a future trip. Many places to visit.

I agree, stick to Spain. We just spent a week in Barcelona and loved every minute. We could easily have stayed another week. Madrid is a very nice city as well. If those 2 cities are the main places you want to see in Spain, then split your time between them and take a few day trips.
