Is there a place to leave luggage in Naples if you are taking a day trip?
If we do Pompeii on our way to Amalfi coast, can we leave our luggage in Naples train station like we can in Milan?<BR><BR>Debby

The best place to leave it is Pompei. If you leave it at Naples station you'll have to back-track for it and waste time.<BR><BR>Steve

Does anyone know if you can still leave bags at Naples or Pompeii train stations -- in light of tighter security around the world? Thanks.

In March '02 the Pompeii luggage storage was open. It's to the right of the ticket collecting booth/turnstiles.<BR> Naples Centrale train station has a manned luggage storage, which would be open like all the other main sations. It's the self-service lockers in Italy that are still closed. The lockers were closed just post 9-11 and were still closed last month. Regards, Walter

The left luggage facility at Pompei is at the entrance to the ruins (100m from Pompei Scavi station).<BR><BR>Hope this helps ...<BR><BR>Steve
