I attended a summer law program in Canterbury and we were able to go to the Law Courts in London, which were most interesting. I would imagine you could arrange a short stay in each of the high courts. We spent six weeks going around the continent and six weeks in England at school. I think you could do London, Paris, Rome, Florence, Venice but Barcelona and Madrid are a little far away. Leave Venice and head to Budapest or Vienna, then Prague and Berlin. The contrast between old East and West is interesting and the legal questions re who owns what land, how a country switches to a democracy, and the attitude of the people are fascinating. You won't get an in-depth view of each city but an overview of Europe. I think that has helped me and, while I don't know in what area of law you plan on practicing, you will find a way to use that experience. Europe will become much more important in the world politics and those who know it will have an advantage.
