1 day near Florence -- what to do?

We want to hire a driver to take us around Tuscany for 1 day. We will be staying in Florence the night before and the night of this excursion. Ideally, we want to see wineries, perhaps visit a quaint town or so... but we need ideas as to what we should focus in on? any specific suggestions?

Visit San Gimignano and a vineyard ner there or take the 222 to Siena and hit a winery in Chianti!

I recognize that this is not a direct response to your question, but have you been to Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano?

Thanks everyone -- have been to florence before, but my fiance has not -- neither of us have been around florence but we only have 1 day to really do the areas around florence... we love wine (but are not experts by any means) and thought it would be fun to hit wineries... to be honest, we aren't really into tons and tons of museums so we really just want to see things other than museums in areas around tuscany...

bob -- thanks for the recommendation -- any idea of pricing for this type of thing?

Dario will be about $280 for all day with a fabulous lunch included. You can look at toursbyroberto as well, but a PRIVATE tour will be as much.

Thanks Bob!

Will Dario also be able to help us craft the itinerary for the day?

As you can see, we need some help and advice!
