Hello!

We will be having a 1 day layover in Amsterdam in Mid March. With only 1 full day to explore, we were wondering if any one had any suggestions for the must see sights, or suggestions we can do beforehand to maximize what time we have.

Well if the weather is decent, then a canal cruise for sure and maybe pick one site that interests you that you can book ahead of time - a museum, Anne Frank house? Enjoy!

A canal cruise for sure -- they are enclosed so you don't have to worry about the weather. An art museum, Anne Frank's house(buy tickets online), and Heinekin tour can all be done in one day. Try dinner at one of the Indonesian Rice Table restaurants. We went to a wine/cheese tasting near AFHouse too.

How long do you actually have in Amsterdam? Are you staying a night? Is your onward flight to the US, or to a European country.
This all affects what you can do during your stopover.
