Message: Is it possible to request a dining room window seating. We are a party of 9 and will be cruising soon with a family who it is their first time. We want it to be a good experience for them. Has anyone ever requested a window seating. We are in the first seating.

You should have your travel agent send a fax to the ship "special services" department. The request can't be guaranteed, but at least they will see the request in the correct department. In the booking there are limited requests for dining such as table size, time and cross reference of bookings (window is not an option for request)so most likely it will never be seen by the person working on the dining if it is put in the booking. The dining manifest is actually only done a month or so prior to sailing, so my suggestion is not to send over a fax request too early but wait until a couple months before sailing. Good luck!

Meesa-- That is probably the best thing to do (maitre d).But I really don't see the big deal with a window. It is probably dark during most of your evening meal anyway. If the sun is coming in the window, they generally lower the large curtains.

You can see a maitre'd on board, but they will only move you to a window if the ship is not full and one is available. To do this will take time out of your embarkation day to stand in line and like cruiser said, it is really not a great view most of the time.

We were on the Destiny the past 2 years. There is window seating, it just depends on how the tables are set up. I remember seeing big parties when we were on the cruise. If your travel agent can't do it, just verify once you get on the ship. That is usually our first stop.....
