Which ship is best and why: Imagination, Inspiration or Celebration?

I like the dates and itineraries for each; and prices are pretty comparable. I would prefer a newer ship, but can't find one for a 5 day cruise in our budget. Any recommendations on these 3? Thanks in advance!

Hi sjb... sometimes it is so difficult to make a decision when the options are so similar! I just checked the cruisecritic.com reviews for all 3 and the Celebration is a little bit better (not by much) than the other 2. Since they are all so similar, decide what itinerary is most appealing to you! I'm sure whichever you pick in the end, you'll have a wonderful cruise!!

You can always drive yourself more nuts by reading more reviews by passengers on CruiseCritic.com or on some other sites

Enjoy!!

Thanks for checking it out for me! That was one site I have been using as well. You're right though; it is frustrating sometimes. I am actually a corporate travel agent and know some, but not nearly enough to feel competent enough to choose "wisely" without outside assistance. Thanks again!

I've had pretty disappointing cruises on the older Carnival ships. I've been on the Jubilee and the Sensation and actually couldn't wait to get off the latter. The nicest ship doing short cruises is RCCL's Enchantment of the Seas. It's been stretched, refurbished, has more entertainment options and has a great staff. We've cruised it twice and are planning on a third in September. Take a look.

I thought the Celebration was older and smaller with the Inspriation and Imagaination being sister ships. I sailed on the Fascination (sister of Imigination and Inspiration) and wasn't impressed and probably would avoid this class of ship. I think it is a toss up on the ships and I would go with the ports that you like best. Sometimes it doesn't matter what ship you are on as long as you can get away from work.
