Hi Paul: We have booked our forth cruise for this spring. I am a very frequent user of this site. I really enjoy planning every detail of our vacation. One of my favourite sites on cruising is the www.cruiseopinion.com site. You can get alot of info on various cruise lines, customers opinions and it is easy to use the cruise links to other sites. I look forward to the end of each month because I know there will be more postings and new interesting info. I have used this site to pick out the cruise line and itinerary that best suits us based on fellow cruisers opinions and of course cross referencing them with my travel agents advice. I have never had a bad cruise and I think being able to access this type of site and info has helped us have such great cruise experiences. Good luck with your research.Karen
Hi Paul, I have been on only 2 cruises and will taking our 3rd cruise vacation in December. What I looked for in a cruise website and I found very helpful in making our decision in what cruise to take was cruise reviews, feedback from passengers. I also wanted to know the exact itinerary of the ship and how long it was in port, we like to have more island time and less at sea time. We also liked being able to see on line pictures of the ships public rooms, like the dining room pool area, lounges, spas, etc. I also like to get a price quote back quickly and be able to see the current cruise specials updated daily, that seems to be impossible in a web site. The prices you see are not the actual price when you phone them. I'm often told that its no longer available. Hope that helps you in same way, good luck with your project! Lisa

Hi Paul -
The perfect cruise web-site would include as much information and interaction as possible. I enjoy being informed and prepared before making such an important decision. Photographs of the cabins and public areas are a necessity, as well as details about the itinerary and length of time available at each port. The critical factor is the ability to communicate with other passengers and/or potential passengers to discuss points about the cruise.
By far the best site I have visited is Renaissance Cruises (www.renaissancecruises.com)
On their site you can even take a "virtual tour" of the ship - leaves nothing to the imagination! Another item I found appealing on their site was a complete list of shore excursions currently being offered. They have an excellent message board section where you can post any questions or concerns. This is the perfect example of an excellent cruise site.
Hope this helps -
