What cruise line will give me the best bang for my buck?

I want to go on a cruise in December since that is the next time I will get a decent break from college and hoepfully work. Also which cruise line is great for meeting other single people?

For the 13th year in a row, Carnival Cruise Lines has been named a "best cruise value" by Ocean & Cruise News, the monthly publication of the World Cruise & Ocean Liner Society, comprised of highly experienced cruise enthusiasts. The awards are featured in the publication’s Nov. 15, 2006, issue.
Carnival is a good bet for your purpose. Just try to book on one of their larger, newer ships. As for meeting singles the destination is a factor to consider. Go to the Carribean or Mexico. Thats your best bet.

The "Cruisemates" web-site has an entire section & forum dedicated to singles cruising.

college - student or employee/faculty? And if former, will you be 21? If not, your choices will be very limited, if any.

What adds up on cruise costs is what you charge for on board - drinks, casino, purchases. If you can keep that under control, it really can be a bargain.

Princess allows you to book if you are 18.

Depending when you go in December, it can be a very reasonable time to cruise. The first 3 weeks of December usually go for rock bottom prices.

I also agree that Carnival will give you the best bang for your buck and will have more singles on the ship.
