W. Caribbean shore excursions

I would like to know opinions on the best shore excursions for a family of 4 (17 and 20 year old boys) would be for Cancun, Cozumel and Belize. The kids probably wouldn't like a long bus ride. Thanks

Belize- Cave tubing- I thought it an excellent excursion, I booked direct with Reggie. Yes an hour+ bus ride in each direction but well worth it.

In cozumel, rent a jeep and drive around the island. Head over to the national park, head to the east side and eat at Mescalito's, drive by the Bob Marley bar on the southeast side and then shop. Its will run you about $70.

Belize cave tubing with Reggie, Cozumel Chaukenank Park or we just went to Xcaret which is on the mainland south of Playa del Carmen. It is a water park and zoo. Wonderful river and caves to float through and good snorkeling beach, hiking trails, aquarium, ruins, maya village, beach pools. The park might be available from Cancun.

Hi Justine - we are going this June - the 19th. We've found lots of great shore excursions, now the hard part is to narrow them down. We are definatly doing the catamaran/snorkeling because we did it in the bahamas, and it was great. I think my oldest was 17 then and had a really good time. You have a lot of time, so just keep looking and reading these boards and you'll figure it out. Also a good forum is Cruisecritics.com. You'll find a lot of information about the Navagator of the Seas. Have fun!

OMG!
You and your boys will love cave tubing. ou must go cave tubing! If you leave belize without doing this you are a fool.
It was the best experience of my entire life.
We hiked up a beautiful rain forest for like 45 minutes and then floated down a small river in inner tubes with head lamps. We went through caves that were just amazing. Anyone can do this. i am not athletic and worried it would be a challenge but it was not. The walk felt like a 3 minute walk with wild birds, banana trees and monkey's off in the distance.
When I returned from my trip this was the one thing I could not stop talking about and still haven't. I will return to Belize someday just for this purpose.

The bus ride is nothing in comparison to the adventure. You can nap and may want to after how tired you can get from running around on excursions. On the way back the bus stops for lunch which is included in the price.
In Cozumel we hit the Mayan ruins Tulum. They were right on the water and there is even a crystal blue water beach to swim or hang out on.
You have to hit Mayan ruins at one point in your life.
Have a great time!

Thanks for the info. I would love to do the cave tubing but I've been out voted. I guess we are doing the Altun HA ruins because it is not such a long trip. I will have to wait till next time to do the caves. I definatly want to do it, so it's a good excuse to go on another cruise!
