Viking river cruise
We have always traveled to Europe and rented a car and done our own thing. Now we are considering taking a Rhine river cruise with Viking. Does anyone have any comments about their experiences with Viking?

My brother & his wife had a wonderful time on a Viking cruise that began in Amsterdam.
As it often happens, the water was too low so they were transferred to another boat
for the rest of the trip. For the "inconvenience" they were given 2 tix to a symphony
in Vienna. She is a vegan and chef met w/her to discuss dishes, they had a
glorious time.
The ONLY problem w/river cruising is the low water level and some companies
transport folks by land to the next stop so be careful when you book.

OR -- high water levels when no ship can navigate so they would all use ground transport.
Time of year can make a big difference re water levels.
