TRANSATLANTIC CRUISING TIPS AND OPINIONS
My husband and I are going on RCCL from Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona. Did you find the multiple cruising days boring? When we cruise we love the sail days.....so we thought the transatlantic cruise would be perfect....i am now worried about being bored.....any and all comments will be greatly appreciated......

I submitted other posts here regarding just that. We did the Carnival Legend in April, Tampa to Barcelona 16 nights with 4 solid days at sea. They happened to have an excellent library, first run movies and the usual activities. After we left Bermuda for our 4 days at sea, weather turned cooler and cloudy but days in port, Azores, Valencia, Malaga and Barcelona were spectacular. So after about 7 days of fabulous weather, the 4 cooler sea days were needed. Legend had self service laundry, so one day was laundry day. Lots of socializing, contests, classes, etc, so the days really flew bye. I was extremely worried about 4 solid days at sea as we deliberately never have more than 2 solid days at sea but as I saw worked out OK. And of course there is that endless snacking, eating, tasting, sampling, etc.

We did our first transatlantic crossing in late March, 2012 from New York to Southampton, 8 days no ports. I loved every minute of it. The programs were good and varied but I was just as happy reading, walking the deck and using the spa. The days flew by.
We just returned from an eastern Med cruise on the Celebrity Reflection. Liked the ports but was just as happy on the at sea days.
We found a great deal on a Sky suite on Celebrity Eclipse April 19 2014, 13 nights Ft Lauderdale to Southampton with stops in Bahamas, Bermuda (overnight) and the Azores. Can't wait. We live in France so use the crossings to extend our vacation in the States, avoid jet lag and excess luggage fees as we always shop on visits home. Nice added perk--aUK immigration officer is on board so you clear Immigration while at sea.

Repositioning cruises are simply the best deals - cheap prices and the perfect chance to get bored of fun - if possible at all
I'm not a fan of the Royal Caribbean line, but their ships are very big and I'm sure they are fun. I really don't see how you can get bored when you pay so cheap price to cruise for so long, and considering you're going to Europe - it's just ungrateful!
You're so lucky to have the time to do Transatlantic. At the new (way better looking) shipcruise site they have two reviews that might cure you from this "cruise bored" illness of yours - just think of cheap DODs and big quantity of delicious food all day long - I hope you're ok with the calories
This one is for the bar menu drink prices on Royal Caribbean http://www.shipcruise.org/royal-cari...-drink-prices/, and this one is for their new food menu http://www.shipcruise.org/royal-cari...-room-service/. The Royal Caribbean new menu is on all their ships but Legend, Splendour and Voyager.
