TOURS TO AMALFI COAST

Greetings,
would appreciate information regarding local tour operators that could arrange a tour to the Amalfi coast and Pompeii. We are a party of four .
We have already been to Pompeii and would appreciate opinions regarding the
best place to visit out of Naples.
Is the Amalfi coast better than Capri. We will do the cruise in July.
Thanks

You cannot do Capri and Amalfi in the same day. We chose Amalfi since it was for all day. We used one of the best guides with a van for 2 couples. He spoke good English, was well dressed and a great tour operator.
RUOCCO GENNARO.www. sorrentolimo.com.
We will use him in Oct.again.

Personally I would do the Amalfi & Pompeii tour over Capri. The real charm of Capri is when all the tourist leave at night. We used Giovanni and Giancarlo of Tours of Italy during our trip last Sept for trips to and from the Naples airport and for a half day tour of the coast and towns. They use Mercedes cars (both sedan and wagon).

Depending on what you want to do for your Amalfi coast tour, you can do both Amalfi and Capri in the same day, easily. Sorrento is reachable by hydrofoil from Naples and the hydrofoil station is 100 yards from your ship. Once in Sorrento, you could shop, eat or take a car tour of the "Amalfi coastline". Then, simply take the hydrofoil over to Capri (30 minutes) and spend the pm there and hydrofoil back to Naples. You don't even need a guide to do this.

Mary34: If you are still on this board, how was your Amalfi trip last year? It is one of my favorite areas to visit.

How about a quick review of your trip?
Thanks!!
