Erin:

Opinions vary...but I think they are worth it.

We will be sailing on the Summit in June and have booked a Royal Suite with adjoining Verandah Stateroom. We intend to fully enjoy all the extras that come with a Suite.

Have a great cruise!

Sheli

My wife and I sailed on the Millinium in July in a Sky Suite. It was more than twice what a veranda cabin would have been and obviously a splurge. I feel that we got our money's worth and we are not disappointed. But if I had to do over again, I think that we would have enjoyed the trip just as much in a balcony cabin. I'm glad we did it, but I doubt we'd do it again. Ideally you'd purchase the higher grade stateroom and try to get upgraded as some of the passenger on our cruise did. That would make it all the sweeter. But don't count on the upgrade.

Enjoyed the spaciousness of a Sky Suite on the Summit last Nov. It was very comfortable and if you enjoy being served afternoon & early evening goodies then you will not mind the extra expense as well as the other services offered by your butler. We however didn't really make much use of these added benefits. We were originally booked into a Premium cabin with balcony but were upgraded. I found that cabin to be equally comfortable and quite roomy and would have enjoyed the cruise just as well there. I guess it depends on your priorities. Either way it is a beautiful ship and you will enjoy.

Hi Erin,

If you think you will be spending any amount of time in your cabin and like large comfortable rooms in hotels, then definitely book a suite. Read up on what a butler does and see if you would like to use his services. If you are planning to have a party in your suite then a butler is very valuable.

Paul
