The R4 is back
Just received this e-mail...
The Renaissance R4 is back, cruising Tahiti--$999. for a balcony stateroom for 10 days.(Jan.-June 2003 under the name Tahitian Princess) Sounds good to me!
I did the R3 last summer TWICE. I wish them the best of luck on their comeback!

Yes, the former R4 (now Tahitian Princess) and R3 (now 'new' Pacific Princess) are owned by Princess Cruises. The Tahitian Princess will begin 10 day sailings from Papeete on Dec 24th and will sail year round. As far as I know, the Renaissance name/logo was purchased in bankruptcy court and is now being used to market a travel agency, not a cruise line.

We just booked the Tahitian Princess for the Feb.2 cruise. Some consolidators are advertising free air from LAX, but there truly is no free air. I have to say that we got a very good price. Check out Cruises-N-More or Cruistar.com. Both reputable consolidators. We booked with the first. Also Princess quoted us a similar price because we were past passengers. Give them a call.
