Tahiti

We are thinking of taking a RSSC in Tahiti on the PG. We would be first time cruisers. I have read through the posts, but all are pretty old posts. Any thoughts on this cruise, the ship (cabins), the tours, food, etc.? I will post on Tahiti forum as well. Again, we are first time cruisers. Thanks.

A first class ship with a very casual feel. If you can go August 21st or 28th, September 11th or 18th. RSSC is offering FREE roundtrip air and the second person in the cabin receives a 50% discount on the cruise.

A great deal for a super ship.

Wow, thanks, I will look into that now. I was looking at Nov. but at those rates, it would be worth it to go in Sept.

Once you go on the Paul Gauguin, you will be spoiled for life. It is just the best cruise! I second the vote for September. In fact, July and august are the best months for Tahiti, as it is the dry/cool season. But as you get on into the fall and winter, it gets hot and humid and it rains a lot.

Thanks! If we can make everything work to go in Sept. we will give it a try! If we decide to finally go, I will post my report.

Thx,

Wow, great deal for the Paul Gauguin. Wish we could go in September. We are scheduled to go the end of October. I feel like cancelling after reading that it rains a lot in the fall and winter!! We are going to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, have never been on a cruise before, and would just hate to have it ruined!! Is the end of October a risk? Thanks.

I suggest you go to a very active forum for Radisson www.luxurycruisetalk.com for a lot of posts and info on PG.

we just booked the PG for middle of
October. From my research, April through
October are the drier months. Starts to
get more humid and rainy in November.
Suggest you also check out www.cruisecritic.com for a wealth of
information.

We picked the Oct 23rd sailing - can't wait - I wasn't sure what time of year was the best so I went by the cost - I figured the more expensive must be the best time of year !!
