RCL - Alcoholic Drinks

If you don't opt to purchase the drink card, approximately how much does RCL charge for their bar drinks?

As far as I know, the drink card does NOT cover your alcoholic drinks anyway.
Just sodas!

There is an alcoholic card that can be purchased for $44.00 plus gratituties (I believe) that is good for 12 alcoholic drinks.

There are some drinks that are not included in this so ask questions before you purchase the card.

Thanks Teresa. That's a new one to me. Doesn't sound like much of a savings if drinks are $4.50, does it?

Is the $4.50 for beer and wine or is that price for mixed drinks?

The alcoholic drink card is $39 but ends up being $44.00 with gratituties.

Beer is cheaper then regular drinks. You can use the card for beer but you will lose money.

I can't remember how much beer is.

I know you can use it for champaigne, wine, margaritias, daquries, etc.. . My mom and friend got the card on the last cruise but I didn't. Didn't pay that much attention on drink costs.

Hi anonymous..Just dug up the list of room charges for our May cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas. Those fancy tall drinks, like the ones they hawk pool-side, were $13.69 for 2, $6.84 for 1. One day I had one of those that was called the "special" drink of the day (that price also) and it was the worse concoction I ever tasted. (It was a kelly green color in case they haven't come to their senses by the time you set sail!!)
A glass of wine was between $5-$6. The bar portion of our bill was less than a $100. We packed some liguor, though, so we could make a before dinner drink in our cabin while we were getting ready.
The biggest portion of our bill was for bingo!! We played every day and if I had it all to do again I would only play the last couple of days when the "big" jack-pot is likely to go. That week it was given away at the last session and it was over $8,000!! I know, I know, it was that much BECAUSE of people who played every day!
One more thing! Skip the wine tasting session! My Italian husband (and I) thought it was the worse group of
wine(s) every assembled. Probably the ones that haven't sold and that they want to get rid of.
All in all, though, we had a blast!

Figured it out...and you still save $$..now the question is on RCI when and where do you buy the drink card.

That card is just good for bar rack brands which is OK but if you like call brands like Absolute or Beefeters its not covered.
