Friends of ours heard that on RCCL they are offering buckets of beer, 8 beers for $30.00 plus tip. Anyone else hear anything like that.

I don't know about RCCL but many of the cruises we have been on give you a deal at the poolside bar if you buy it by the bucket. It varies price wise but you can take them out one at a time (they keep them cold for you) and you save some money if you are planning to spend time by the pool and buy beer individually.

Yes, they do, and I wanted to buy it on my last cruise. It turned out that they only offer it for lower brands of beer, not Crouch that I wanted. To me, one good beer is better than 6 crappy ones so didn't take advantage of this sale. And BTW, who knows of any ships selling dark Czech beer?

Depending on cruise lines, they may have domestics like Bud available for a bucket. If you drinks lots, that's certainly the way to go.

I saw buckets of beer... can't recall, RCL or NCL. Don't know details, only saw people having them on the tables by the pool.
