Princess Cruise - Special Services, What's That?
I think I better ask Fodorites before calling them.
In the Travel Summary for our Alaskan cruise in June, I have a request listed which I had not made. And neither did my husband.
I have Samsonite Luggage listed ($365 value), quantity 1, delivery date June 6 (this is the date of our sail) Unit price 0.01, purchased by Princess Cruises.
Anybody knows what is this? Some complimentary cruise document holder? Will it be in the cabin? Is the price included in the cruise? (I know it can't be free!)

Faina I think there is some promo going on wherein you get some free luggage for booking a cruise. Check with Princess for sure but I saw lots of buzz on cruise critic web site about the cases and how good of quality they actually were, which was surprising to posters.

Faina, there's a learning curve at Cruise Critic, but you're up to it!
Here's a quote from the luggage thread: "For awhile Princess was offering free luggage to new bookings and from what my TA said I qualified because it was going to be my second booking with them. I did read on these boards that others were given the luggage and it was only their first cruise. I don't know anymore than that."

You can thank me later!

Faina - I am sad that we will be missing you in Alaska by 1 week - we are sailing Princess 6/13 - I would have liked to meet you. We are going on Coral Princess, so if you are on same ship, please treat it very kindly - we don't want to hear any stories from crew about any wild parties thrown by Fodorites on previous cruise.

Thank you all, especially Betsy! It looks like we'll receive something before the cruise, and will be able to take it along if we like it!
Gail, we will be on Dawn Princess June 6-16 RT from San Francisco. No flights, no "bye-bye plane", just a short taxi ride
Now, if anyone can tell me how to get a table with my father who made his own reservations... should I call Princess? Can't see anything on their website, the "special request" section doesn't have space to type it in.

Faina - Did you book with a travel agent? If not you can call Princess directly or give you travel agent your booking number and your father's booking number and ask them to link them. Then you can request whatever seating you want. As long as they link the res nos. you will be together.
