post-cruise help in Miami

We have an entire day in Miami on a Sunday following our cruise. We want to spend a day in South Beach, but wonder where we can store our luggage.I tried to contact RCCL online to no avail - do they have storage facilities or do we need to look elsewhere?

Hi Linda,

No cruise line that I know of will store your luggage. All airports had luggage storage facilities but after 9/11 they have closed them. I do not know when they will re-open. Best bet would be to check-in and have your luggage sent to the plane.

Just a guess, but I would bet that if you have breakfast, brunch or lunch at one of the nicer South Beach hotels, they would store you luggage for the extra hours you stay in South Beach. Maybe you can send e-mails to a few, and if you get a positive response, go to that one, bringing along the e-mail.

The Biscayne Marriott right by the port will store it. It's convenient if you want to stay around the Bayside area, but if you head to South Beach, it's out of the way to come back to get it. There probably are some hotels there which will do the same. Another suggestion is one of the excursions. They usually have a bus company that takes you to the attraction and then to the airport & your luggage stays on the bus. Good luck.

Ya know, come to think of it, when I stay at a hotel and have my luggage stored to pick up later, they never ask if I am a guest.

Interesting ... I guess they just assume you are guests.

Walk in with luggage, leave them at bell desk, go have breakfast, pick up luggage in the afternoon, take a cab from the hotel, tip the bellman. Chepaer than airport storage!
